Moving Along

I was really excited to get my new promotional cards in the mail!  I designed them myself with some of my favorite paintings, and ordered through Vistaprint, during one of their frequent discount days.  I've already ordered more and am going to hit up some new pet stores and day cares to network with.

I also finally painted some silhouettes of my own pets to decorate our previously very empty apartment.  The 11x11 silhouettes are now hanging over our fireplace, a favorite hang out for both Indiana and Onyx (who likes to sleep on the mantle on his towel.)  The Ikea frames were a great deal for some over-sized art.

I received an adorable picture to work from.

After a bit of a flip, it made a much better composition.

The final 24x36 painting was practically life size for the duo.

My What Big Ears Margaret Has!

I had a week to create the perfect portrait of Margaret as a present for her Dad (from her Mom.)  Her mom liked a straight on portrait, but didn't have a picture quite like that.  So, I worked with her like a police sketch artist, to capture Margaret's puppy dog eyes and adorable ears.

(Also my sister's name is Margaret, so this was a hoot!)
